LUZIR: Christmas Tales

Christmas is the time of year when our imagination is filled with fascinating stories. Stories that have always been with us and are passed down from generation to generation. Like the stories of Dickens, the Brothers Grimm, or Andersen, these are tales that remain alive in our memory and are part of who we are. And, it is in the magic of those pages, where we feel that anything is possible…

Inspired by this magic, Christmas Tales is born. A journey that aims to turn every “Once upon a time…” into a tangible experience, where the words of the most remembered stories leave the page and are transformed into light, sound, and emotion. Thus, residents and visitors of Zaragoza will have the opportunity to experience a fairytale Christmas. LUZIR presents in Zaragoza “Christmas Tales”, an immersive experience of lights and sounds, based on classic Christmas stories. Uniting Christmas tradition with the avant-garde, “Christmas Tales” will be installed in the Parque Grande José Antonio Labordeta.

In this immersive experience, the public will enter the Parque Grande, transformed into a unique Christmas universe, and, through the tour, they will discover ten exhibitions, each dedicated to a classic story, which will come to life through an impressive display of lights, projections, and music. The Snow Queen, The Three Wise Men, The Star Talers, A Christmas Carol, The Bells, The Shoemaker and the Elves, The Little Match Girl, Santa Claus, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King and The Fir Tree are the 10 stories on which this Christmas festival of lights and sounds is based.

With a total of 10 porticos, 10 main sculptures, and 135 secondary sculptures, this dreamlike world will be built, illuminated with 400,000 LED strips, 600 projectors, and 3 video projectors. This entire innovative mechanism will invite the people of Zaragoza to rediscover the magic of Christmas.
