MTV EMA

Music

Over the years, the MTV Europe Music Awards have transformed several Spanish cities into epicenters of international music and entertainment.

Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, and Seville hosted galas that stood out not only for the presence of major artists and their media impact but also for the ambitious technical and organizational deployment required for a global event, broadcast live to millions of viewers worldwide.

Each of these editions involved the transformation of emblematic venues—such as the Palau Sant Jordi, the Caja Mágica, the Bizkaia Arena, and FIBES—into stages prepared for a top-tier television production.

The stage design, the integration of large lighting and sound systems, the video screens, and the audiovisual production were adapted in each case to the characteristics of the space, guaranteeing the dynamic pace of the gala and the fluid succession of live performances. Technical planning was key to responding to the demands of a format that combines live entertainment, television storytelling, and a strong visual identity.

Beyond the main ceremony, the MTV EMAs expanded their presence in each city through concerts, parallel events, and activities linked to MTV Music Week, extending the experience beyond the venue and reinforcing the connection with the urban environment.

This combination of international gala and complementary programming consolidated Spain as a recurring venue for major musical events, leaving memorable editions that stood out for their cultural impact, international projection, and the complexity of their production.
